The fine print

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

Front Nine Threads (“we”, “us”) runs this website and sells pre-owned golf apparel. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what we need to sell and ship your order, we never sell your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.

What we collect

  • Order details. When you buy, our payment processor Stripe collects your name, email address, shipping address, billing details and, if you choose to give it, phone number. We receive these details to fulfil your order. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages. If you email us, we keep your email address and what you write so we can reply.
  • Usage information. Our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages are requested (such as IP address, browser type and the page visited) for security and reliability. If we use analytics, it is privacy-friendly: it counts visits in aggregate and does not use cookies or build a profile of you.
  • On your device only. If you type your own shirt’s measurements into a scorecard, they are saved in your browser so you don’t have to re-enter them. They never leave your device. See Cookies & data.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we don’t collect information from children under 16.

How we use it

  • To take payment, ship your order and handle returns.
  • To send order and shipping updates, and to answer your questions.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
  • To send you news about new pieces, only if you’ve asked us to. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

  • Stripe: payments and fraud prevention (stripe.com/privacy).
  • Our shipping carrier: your name and address, to deliver your order.
  • Our hosting and email providers: to serve this website and send and receive email.
  • Resend: if you join our email list, to store your address and send you new-piece emails (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to seven years), messages for as long as needed to help you, and technical logs for a short period. Then we delete them.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (unless we must keep it by law). Email hello@frontninethreads.com and we’ll respond within 45 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. Because we don’t sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of — and we treat Global Privacy Control and “Do Not Track” browser signals as a request not to track you, which we don’t do anyway.

Visitors from the UK and EU: we process your information to perform our contract with you (your order), to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running a secure shop. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by Stripe, and access to order information is limited to the people who run the shop.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
